I believe the "conceptual developer" position was indeed canned. However, I would highly suggest you that you choose that position whis is your best field. (I believe that in what you posted, your best attribute is designing).

Many thanks LordGarza for keeping activity alive as possible. I'm eyeing the design concepts forum a bit to get an idea of what people are going for. (In the mean time, I've been also doing work on Web broadcasting Comedy TV episodes as well as my live-entertainment venues) I have a few concepts I'll throw around to see if it breaks in with the design team. It isn't much, but I'd figure maybe some music will throw some ideas around.

Just to be clear, designer works in things that are implemented in the game such as mechanics, opponents etc right? And when I hear design, I think it also has to do with a little visuals. Just want to be clear before it's final

Little late to the game I kinda dropped offline for a bit.
My info:
currently working on a degree in Information Systems
-I know a bit about marketing(Taking a marketing class right now)
-I have run several websites and have aquatinted myself with HTML PHP ASP, i also have a fundamental understanding of layouts. i have also taken 2 web classes in highschool and an independent study web class. i have also had a class in digital graphics.
-I learned a lot about TCL From running ServBot, but thats only really useful if you want an IRC to collaborate.
-I have taken 3 classes in java fat load of good that was, I barely scratched the surface.
-I have taught myself quite a bit about audio recording, and editing and I can usually convert any audio file xD and i usually do a good job with remastering.
-I have some basic video editing skills, however i am usually good at converting and cleaning video
Thats about everything I know it isn't much but the least I can do is offer to help.

The conceptual developer role means that you don't have a specific role as writers, designers, or artists do. Your main job is to help mostly in what's possible for you, without a specific department (for example, the designing department, the writing department, the music department, etc). Basically you're the kind of person who tries to help everybody the way you want and can, with no specific role. If I'm wrong, then it surely means your role is creating some concepts... anyways, have a nice day! =)

Having been a former active member of the Devroom since it's creation, I've been able to expand on, as well as offer various well-received ideas, particularly, those pertaining to gameplay mechanics, as well as participating (behind the scenes) in design contests, particularly the Mascot Design contest, behind the proposed mascot "Digs The Robotic-Cat."
Here are some of the contributions I've been able to give.

Hmmm....my skills might be best in writing or Ads, but i have quite average artistic skills (only in hand drawn). I'd probably be best in Ads though.

We actually encourage being active in more than one area. That's not to say that everyone shouldn't have a main role, but I'd think you should feel free to at least have a go at both.

Yeah: it's never a bad idea to participate in other parts of development. In fact, I'd say it's necessary to get acclimated with every part of developing a game like this, because the work-load is that prodigious and requires a lot of co-operation—game development really does require versatility.

I have been a strong supporter of Legends for a very long time. Unfortunately, I don't know how much help I can be to making this dream come true. However, I do have skills in video/sound editing. And if there are more voice actors needed, count me in. I want to officially apply for an audio position.
